Aegera has a dominant patent position around the IAPs, a family of proteins which play a fundamental role in apoptosis control; Multiple Aegera US patents cover the majority of known IAPs including XIAP, cIAP1, cIAP2, TIAP, and NAIP, including their respective genes, proteins, peptides, antibodies and modifications thereof. Aegera has licensed non-exclusive rights to several of its base IAP patents to several companies which develop, manufacture and sell research tools and reagents related to these IAP family members. |
